Model 250CG AFFF Foam Extinguisher For use on Class A (ordinary combustibles) and B (Flammable liquid) fires. Features an easy and effective application using the hose and air aspirating nozzle. Has a unique capability to apply to flammable liquid spills to prevent ignition. Provides exceptional knock down and penetrating ability for use on deep seated Class A fires. Easier clean-up when compared with traditional dry chemical agents. Painted red and is U.S.C.G. approved when mounted using the 810CG bracket. Chrome plated brass valve body with stainless steel cylinder and handles offers superior corrosion protection when compared with most aluminum or standard mild steel cylinder extinguishers. Large diameter pull pin can be easily operated with gloves on. Schraeder valve on valve body allows for remote filling and charging with compressed air or nitrogen when using the Amerex 502 charge and potable water. Meets U.S.C.G. requirements for “Type A”, “Size II” and “Type B”, “Size II” extinguishers.
Must be protected from freezing (See temperature range). Cannot be used on fires involving live electrical equipment.
